Out of hours

The surgery reception is staffed from 8.30am to 6pm weekdays. It is closed for lunch daily between 1.00pm and 1.30pm. Occasionally, lunchtime closing may be extended for staff training. When reception is closed over the lunch time period or during training, an answer phone message on the surgery telephone number, 663363, will give details of how to seek urgent medical assistance. All out of hours messages are routed through the Medicom Answering Service on Norwich 488488, which will pass messages on to the appropriate agency and you will get a call back from a health professional within a short time.

The practice uses East Anglian Ambulance Trust to cover urgent medical issues out-of-hours. Their base is at the Community Hospital, Bowthorpe Road, Norwich and you may be requested to attend there to be seen if necessary. This is not a walk in centre and you must always make contact by phone first. For medical assistance when the surgery is closed, please contact the Medicom Answering Service on Norwich 488488.
